Taihang Stone on the World Stage
From corporate atriums to luxury resorts, Taihang Grey and Rusty Limestone are making their mark globally. Their versatility allows them to shine in diverse cultural and architectural contexts.

Project 1: Metropolitan Financial Center Atrium (Singapore)
Stone Used: Taihang Grey, Honed Finish.
Application: Vast interior flooring and feature wall cladding across a 5-story atrium
Design Impact: The stone’s uniform grey tone and subtle texture provided a serene, sophisticated, and neutral backdrop that emphasized the building’s dramatic architecture and did not compete with dynamic digital art installations. Its low maintenance was a key factor for this high-traffic public space.
Project 2: Rustic-Luxe Boutique Hotel (Swiss Alps)
Stone Used: Rusty Limestone, Natural Cleft & Brushed Finishes.
Application: Exterior facade accents, interior fireplace surrounds, and ensuite bathroom feature walls.
Design Impact: The stone’s warm, fiery veins perfectly captured the hotel’s "alpine lodge meets modern luxury" theme. It created a deep sense of place, connecting the interior to the surrounding mountainous landscape, and provided a stunning contrast to dark timber and white plaster.
Project 3: Urban Civic Plaza & Water Feature (Toronto, Canada)
Stone Used: Taihang Grey, Flamed Finish.
Application: All paving, seating bench tops, and cladding for a large interactive water feature.
Design Impact: The flamed finish provided essential slip resistance in a climate with snow and rain. Its exceptional freeze-thaw resistance ensured longevity. The consistent grey color created a cohesive, modern, and durable public space that required minimal winter maintenance.
Why These Projects Succeeded:
Each project leveraged the stones' core strengths: Taihang Grey for its durability, consistency, and modern neutrality; Rusty Limestone for its unparalleled artistic warmth and ability to create atmosphere. They demonstrate that Chinese stone is not just a commodity, but a world-class design material specified for the most demanding and beautiful projects on earth.
